Growing Up

It is inevitable.......they will grow up. We are fast approaching 'preschool graduation' with Colton. He is so excited! I am really not sure what he thinks it actually is, but I feel certain we will have a lot of fun. The actual 'ceremony' is still a few weeks away, but the pictures are being taken and the program practiced. We have had such a good experience with the ECC program he is in and he has made some sweet friends. While he will surely miss some of his friends that will move on to other schools, we are looking forward to BIG school and kindergarten in the fall. He is getting to be a little man. I am so proud of him!

A New Song in My Library

I just heard this song by Mark Harris for the first time and saw I could put it in my blog. I have not fully vetted the theology, so do not hold me to its accuracy yet.

Is it Really Necessary?

If you have ever taken more than one preschooler to the grocery store with you then you know there is no need to ask 'how was your trip to the store?" when someone returns from taking THREE preschoolers to the store. So my schedule just wouldn't let me get to the store this week without the kids....I took all three of them yesterday for a big shop - not just fruit and bread. We started out alright. The parking was close and then then real test - there was not a cart in which all three children could be confined (usually there is at least one cart that will hold them all) so two would have to walk.

You know how this went.....can we have this, I want that, apologizing profusely to other shoppers for any number of things, forgetting something on the list, crying baby, things tossed out of the cart, crushed bread, and one and a half hours later.......only to have the young lady bagging put the bags of canned food on top of the fruit and chips.

Why do I do this to myself? Hopefully I will remember this latest experience next time I just 'have to go' to the grocery store. We may go without fruit or milk for a while.

Colton is Big Time

Colton has moved up to an all boys gymnastics class now that he is 5. He gets to do some things - like climb the big yellow rope - that he did not get to do in his old class. He is really getting stronger and had a fabulous time at the gym this week. The yellow rope, jumping on the spring board, and the high bar are currently his faves.

Campbell's Gymnastics

Campbell is loving her preschool gymnastics class. Last week there was only one other student with her in the class so she got some special attention. She really appreciates when everyone in the class pays attention to the teacher and they 'do not act wild.'

Looking Much Better!

Capone is looking so much better today after a great day at the groomer. They said he did so well with all of the grooming - very good for only his second trip ever to the groomer.

Now for the Upstairs

I took some pictures of the upstairs of our house several weeks ago and just never got them online. We have had good traffic in recent days in the showing of the house and are just praying that 'the one' comes through soon. Keeping the house 'show ready' is not so bad.
